FRANKFORT, KY. (January 21, 2025)- Today, Auditor Allison Ball in conjunction with the Commonwealth Office of the Ombudsman announced a statewide drawing contest in celebration of Read Across America Day on March 2, 2025.
The contest invites all Kentucky students ages 13 and under to showcase their creativity by submitting a bookmark sized drawing of their favorite storybook character enjoying the magic of reading.
Submissions for the drawing contest will be accepted until February 23, 2025. To submit a drawing, artwork should be emailed to hannah.wall@ky.gov. The top three drawings will be selected and publicly voted on through the Ombudsman's social media.
The winning submission will be featured on social media for Read Across America Day and distributed by the Ombudsman.
